Engie is a French industrial energy group. When Henri Ducré took up the post of HR Director for the GdF-Suez Group at the beginning of 2013, he wanted to make the HR Department a team at the forefront of the modernisation of the company’s operating methods.

The project to transform the Group HRD’s premises at its headquarters in La Défense was designed to achieve three objectives: to improve the well-being at work of the teams involved, to improve efficiency to better meet the expectations of the HRD’s internal customers and, finally, to develop a sense of pride and a capacity for experimentation for the rest of the Group.

According to an innovative concept-test to renew the working methods of the HR department of the Engie Group in La Défense, and change to flex office, ARCH.DESIGN fitted out their 3 floors in the T1 Tower with open spaces equipped with pneumatic height-adjustable sit-stand workstations, concentration stations, isolation and meeting spaces, and a central “Place du Village.
